Light source
We have already talked about Creality’s new lighting technology several times, and perhaps we will tell you more. Halot-One, like other printers in the series, is equipped with 12 120W light sources. The light sources themselves are not located under the screen, as in other photopolymer printers. This is what makes Creality technology so special. The light first hits the mirror and then reflects onto the screen. The illumination uniformity, in this case, is 80-90%.
6 inch 2K monochrome screen
Creality Halot One has a 6-inch monochrome screen with a resolution of 2560×1620. This is certainly not 4K like the Halot Lite, for example, but still not bad (again, do not forget about the price difference). In addition, It uses the ILS (Integral Light Source) illumination system, and for such a print camera, this resolution is more than enough.
Print volume
It offers us a build volume of 130x82x160mm. Some 3D printers from other manufacturers, such as the Elegoo Mars 2 Pro, have the same build volume, but they do not have the same illumination technology as the Halot One. Again, the print volume is less than the more expensive counterparts from the Halot line.
CPU
The larger and more expensive Halot-Sky and Halot-Lite use ARM Cortex-A53, a chip found in many smartphones and even the Nintendo Switch. On Halot One, you get ARM Cortex-M4. There are some significant differences between them, but it is unlikely that the user himself will see how these differences affect performance.
WI-FI connection
It can connect to Wi-Fi, in this respect, it is no different from other printers in the line. We can manage to print remotely, as well as use the Creality App and interact with the cloud in every possible way.
5-inch touch screen
The Halot One is controlled by a large 5-inch color touch screen. The Halot-Sky also has a 5-inch touchscreen and the only difference here is that the Halot One has a touchscreen set to landscape while the Sky has a touchscreen set to portrait. In any case, a responsive, intuitive system that does what is required of the touchscreen. Although with the possibility of remote control, you will hardly interact with it often.
Slicer
All the same Halot Box. If on release this slicer had slightly limited functionality, now it can do everything you need from a slicer that works with a photopolymer printer. Although, in any case, you can always use third-party slicers.
Air Filtration System
It is also worth mentioning the Halot One “air purification” system, which consists of a fan with an activated carbon filter. This system helps filter out harsh photopolymer resin fumes, but should still be printed in a well-ventilated area.
What It Can Do
We printed several different models and the result pleasantly surprised us. Resin printers are known for their clean, tidy prints, and the Halot One is no exception.
Let’s start with large models, namely collectible figurines. Halot One allows you to print quite large figurines on any subject. How can these figurines be useful to you? Well, firstly, if you print for yourself, then this is a great modern decoration, for example, being a fan of Marvel comics and movies, you can furnish your home with cool figurines of famous characters. Secondly, such figures can be sold!
If you have doubts about starting large models, start with something smaller! 3D printing of small interesting gizmos can be monetized in the same way, it is unlikely that someone will wear a plastic ring of omnipotence on their hand, but in the form of a keychain, why not? Whether it’s a small ring of omnipotence or a massive collectible figurine, there’s not much difference for Halot One. Even without additional processing, each model turned out clean and with excellent detail. Imagine the quality you can achieve with a little more effort!
Outcome
Of course, due to its positioning, as well as some limitations associated with the printing technology itself. Halot One is not suitable for creating parts or tools that require exceptional accuracy, however, for home printing, the educational process, or a small production. The capabilities of Halot One are more than enough. Since Halot One is the most budget 3D printer in the Halot series. You can always turn your attention to its big brothers.
